Food bloggers understand what it’s like to wear many hats. We’re cooks, prop stylists, dishwashers, writers and social media whizzes. Oh, and we’re photographers too. All of these hats make for a heavy, weary head, and I’m looking for a way to make my work flow more efficient. Step one? Train my husband to take food photos.
It makes sense, doesn’t it? I’ve got both hands full with cooking, so it’s difficult to get those in-action or mise en place shots without adding another half an hour to my cooking time frame. The boy can wield camera – which you can see from some of this Star Wars videos – so it’s not a huge departure to take his skill and move it over to a different genre, right?
So guess what, honey… you’re going to learn about exposure first.

What a smart idea! My husband actually does a lot of the photography for my blog just because he loves scenic pictures and to capture our kids’ cutest moments.
Now if I could only teach him Web design…

My wife had to teach me to use a camera too. I was completely clueless on all things photography.
