A few weeks ago I shared my chocolate peanut butter ganache recipe, which I’ve been dreaming about ever since. I’ve got all sorts of idea of what I can do with this heavenly sauce, but being the ice cream fiend I am (I get it from my father), I just had to pour this luscious melding of chocolate and peanut butter over a hot fudge sundae recipe. I mean, come on. How could I not?
Everyone has a favorite recipe for ice cream sundaes, but my personal favorites are simple: vanilla ice cream, sauce, nuts, whipped cream. No cherry, because they’re just not my thing. For this ice cream sundae recipe, I’m sticking to my rule of simplicity in sundaes, which allows the peanut butter love to shine through, like the culinary star it is.
- Into two small scoops of ice cream into each of 4 small bowls.
- Drizzle ¼ cup of chocolate peanut butter ganache into each bowl, covering the ice cream.
- Top each scoop with a hearty dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
- Eat NOW!
